I bought this product from the wet n wild website last year when they reduced all of their products to only 99p!! Seeing as it was so cheap, I wasn't really expecting much from this bronzing powder. I think usually this product retails around £2. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the results. I love this powder in the Catwalk Pink shade and it really is great for the price. Each pot contains four different shades of powder. The pot weighs 9 grams and comes in a nice silver colour. I personally use the lightest pink shade to highlight my cheeks and t-zone. Just this by itself gives a nice shimmer to my face. For those days that I want my face to have a bit more colour, I use the medium bronze shade as a blush. However, if I want to go all out sunkissed, I usually I swirl my bronzing brush over all four of the shades and apply it to give myself a lovely warm glow. This product is so versatile, there are numerous ways that you can use it and that is just how I like to wear it myself. This illuminating powder can also be applied to the eyes and all over the body to give yourself a nice shimmer. Often when I wear it my friends will remark that my skin looks very hydrated and that is just when I have only dusted the pink shade over my t-zone and cheeks. As I say, I bought mine last year and I am still using it today, so this product lasts for many months. If you are looking for a cheap illuminating powder, then you should give this a go. For the small price i'm sure that you will be pleased with the results like I am.
I am a sucker for trying new things out, especially make up. I love love love it! I seen this in Tesco for under £2.00 so thought "why not". I had never heard of this make before but I like the colours. The packaging for this bronzer is pretty basic and actually looks really cheap but what made me buy this apart from the price was the different array of colours. I prefer bronzers with different colours to ones that only have one as I feel that it blends gives a better look. I found that when sweeping my brush over this powder that it picked up pretty easy, which was a good start. When sweeping this bronzer over my face, I found it a delight. It went on my cheek bones and not on the floor. I found that the mixture of the four bronzing colours to be very complimentary of each other and highlighted my cheekbones just the way I wanted. To be honest I didnt expect this product to be as good as it actually was. Usually I find that some cheap bronzers can give you the ´tangoed´ look, which is something no-one ever desires, however I was left pleasantly suprised with this. This seemed to have a good durability once on my cheeks aswell. The thing that I did find with this was that it ran out pretty quickly with it only containing a small amount or was it just that I used it alot because I loved it that much...hmm. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed using this product and would definitely buy it again, but kind of wished they did it in a bigger version. I went through one of these in less than a month. Usually when I buy bronzers, they last about 2-3 months. Maybe I did like this too much! A good product, highly recommended.
This was another "hey, it's cheap, let's buy it!!!" purchase. It cost just under £1.90 from Tescos and to be totally honest, I wasn't expecting much for the price. I was very pleasantly surprised. Firstly the packaging. Initially you get the product wrapped in an awkward to open without scissors package that is used in the hanging display. Once you have battled to open it (I say battle because that's what it felt like to me - only because I was too lazy to walk downstairs to get the scissors though!) you are presented with a pretty sturdy little plastic pot. It is silver in colouration with a clear plastic lid centre so you can see the product clearly. The lid twists on and off, and doesn't feel like it would become loose in your bag. On the lid are the words "Wet n Wild MegaGlo. Illuminating Bronzing Powder" in silver lettering. On the base of the pot we are told that this is a "Illuminating powder in four harmonious shades that can be used individually or together on face, cheeks and body for a luminescent radiance. Multi-hued radiance." The powder itself has a light-catching shimmery look to it in the pot. The four colours are all attractive for use individually. There is a lovely golden-like brown shade, a lighter fawn-pink type shade, a darker pink-brown like shade, and a bronze type brown. I have used each colour alone for eye-shadows or blusher with great results. I have also used all four together by swirling my kabuki brush over the pot, picking up the powder and dusting it lightly over my face and neck to give my very fair skin a healthy looking glow. Using it in this way obviously is a little hit and miss depending on how much of each colour the brush picks up, but I haven't had any disasterous orange tango man moments using this product yet! It feels lovely and light on your skin, although I wouldn't say it lasts very long on me - maybe 3 or so hours before I need to top it up, which compared to others isn't too good. But for the price, I can live with that downside.
****Wet n Wild Mega Glo Illuminating Powder **** Being completely honest i didn't really need to get this product but i was feeling a little down in the dumps so my friend bought this plus a couple of other products from the same company for me to try. **About brand** Like a lot of products i buy this is an American company. I would class them as drugstore brand make up and as such the products can be a bit hit or miss. **Product** This is packaged similar to other bronzers i have tried such as the collection 2000 one. It comes in a round tub with a see through ,screw on lid. The packaging is nothing spectacular but it is adequate and it feels quite sturdy so i don't think it would crack or anything. One thing i really liked about this product is that you get four different shades meaning you can use them all individually to create different looks or together for a more radiant look. The shade i got is called catwalk pink and i think it may be the only one available. The individual shades in this are really nice. You have a darker brown which goes on like a deep bronze colour and reminds me of the urban decay baked shade. Then you have a more basic shade which is like a tawny skin colour(very natural). My favourite one is a pink shade which gives your cheeks a healthy glow and the last shade is a light brown very similar to half baked from the urban decay range. I tend to use these as individual colours as that's the way i like them best but they can be used together and when i do this i use a kabuki brush. As bronzers go i think the result depends on what the brush happens to pick up the most of but i have never had an orange look from this product. **Price/where to get** This can be purchased from Tescos (uk) and costs £1.87. I think this is a great product for the price and you get 9g worth of product. At the minute i cant comment on how long it will last me as it is nowhere near finished but i think it will last months and months. go treat yourself!!
