I tend not to buy expensive make up as I think if you're good at putting it on you can get the same results with less pricey options. That said, I do make a few exceptions. The YSL touche eclat is one of them. I have always had quite an even skintone apart from under my eyes - too many late nights I think - so it's an ideal cover up for me.

I doscovered it when I was getting ready at a friend's house for a night out. Having forgotten my make up bag she very kindly let me use some of her make up and this product was included in her selection. After trying it once I realised why it is a bit on the expensive side - becuase it actaully works!

The product comes in a shiny gold tube and is applicated with a fairly standard brush activated by a clicking mechanism at the bottom of the tube. Generally I wear it under my eyes, round the sides of my nose and to cover up the occasional spot. The make up has some sort of 'light reflecting' technology included in it. I don't know how that works but it makes my skin seem glowy and blemish free. I used to wear foundation every day but now a touch of this and then some tinted moisturiser is fine for daytime looks. It feels light enough to wear all day every day. I recently spent a month abroad and as it was so hot and sweaty I didn't want anything on my skin all day so just a tiny bit of this product under the eyes kept me looking natural, had the dark circles covered, and didn't feel heavy.

Mine tends to last about 12-14 weeks. I do quite often have need to reapply my make up during the day though (for example after the gym).

I would reccommend this prodect without hesitation and have been known to call it my 'secret weapon.'
