Advantages: Ease of use, lovely smell, perfect colour match

Disadvantages: Expensive initial outlay

I was persuaded to give this foundation a try by the crafty lady at Debenhams. She promised it would be the perfect partner for my beloved Touch Eclat - and she was right! It comes in a 40ml squeezy tube with a posh gold lid and a brush at one end. You can lock the tube closed when you're done (I recommend you do - I left it in the "on" position and took it out of my bag later to find foundation all over the inside of the lid!).

The instructions tell you to squeeze a bit onto the back of your hand until you're an expert but being one to fly in the face of convention I went straight to brushing it onto my face. It smells absolutely gorgeous and glides on easily, staying blendable longer than most foundations I've used. You don't need a lot to give a nice coverage. I found it helped to just pat my face gently after brushing to smooth out the (very light) brush marks. The finish is dewy without being shiny and does stay like it for hours. You can top up during the day without carrying around a sponge or brush which is a definate plus. I am extremely pale and the ivory colour is one of the few foundations which has blended with my skin, giving me the option of just using the foundation where I need it rather than smothering it all over!

It is expensive at £30, and I'm usually loathe to spend that on an item of make-up, but it really has performed well and I'd be happy to buy it again. It's lasted over 2 months so far, and still feels quite full, so not bad value for money at all!

Summary: Overall great value for money
