“ Brand: Avent / Type: Pampering Products „
During pregnancy my body certainly had a few extra aches and pains
to contend with and a few pampering products were much appreciated to help ease some of the issues. One such thing was the rather uncomfortable swelling of my feet and aches and pains in my legs and this product was part of a selection of four items that cost just under £9, all of the four items were travel size.
It was quite a good product at breathing fresh life into my swollen feet and it certainly made me feel more relaxed and better able to sleep at night certainly during the later weeks of my pregnancy when the swelling was at its worst.
It massaged into my feet and lower legs smoothly and it had a slight tingly feel to it which was strange and then a nice cooling effect which I assume is due to the tea tree extract in it. It has a light summery smell to it but nothing heavy or over powering at all.
During pregnancy my skin was certainly a lot more sensitive than it normally is and this product was very soft and caused no reaction or irritation at all and the same cannot be said for some products that I had been fine using before pregnancy but while pregnant gave me a rash, I used this on a number of occasions and had no problems at all with it.
It comes in a white tube with a blue flip top and a nozzle delivery that only delivers a small amount at a time so you will not find yourself wasting any of it. A good product that I certainly enjoyed using.
Avent Future Mother Leg & Foot Reviver was one of the products I had that came in a set of mini sized body care items that I bought. I thought it was a very handy little set at the time of buying it, as it meant I could take the set away without having to pack lots of large and bulky body care items.
The Avent Future Mother Leg & Foot Reviver was something I found useful as it could be applied to tired legs and swollen 'mum to be feet', at the end of a tiring day. The product I had came in a small squeezy tube with an aqua blue lid that you could use to stand the tube on when not in use. The tube had 50mls of the foot reviver in and that was just enough for whilst I was away.
The Avent Future Mother Leg & Foot Reviver has some pretty good ingredients in its mix, which give a really light and refreshing cooling feeling when applied to the skin. I have to say I did need to have some help at times applying the foot reviver, as any mum to be knows that there comes a time when you cannot even see your feet, let alone apply a foot care product to them.
I found that the foot reviver went on easily and I enjoyed it being massaged into my ankles and feet. The problem of swollen ankles and feet during the latter part of pregnancy can be very painful and tiring and so the marine extracts and cooling green tea used in the product did seem to work their magic really well. The aroma was rather light and not overly distracting which I liked as I was also using the moisturising light oil from this range which has a citrus aroma.
I found that the Avent Future Mother Leg & Foot Reviver did work well at easing swelling to some extent. I found that after a light bath, the product went on rather easily and was absorbed well enough, leaving a lightly cooled and fresh sensation that was very welcome. It was something that as an early evening routine I looked forwards to using.
When I consider that the product worked out at just over £2 for me to buy as part of a mini travel set I had, I feel it was well worth the money as it did work for me. I liked the fact that the product had been dermatologically tested and was also hypoallgergenic. This gave me confidence that I had purchased something that was right for me at that time.
As the Avent Future Mother Leg & Foot Reviver did work well for me, I feel it ought to get 4 stars. The product was something that did a good job of soothing my tired feet and ankles and I felt it did help with the swollen feeling that was an almost daily thing during that time.
I would say that you can get a similar effect with other products such as some of the body shop range, which are very nice to use. However as the little set I had contained a nice selection which included this product, I feel I got good value for money over all.
After getting a small tube of the Avent Leg & Foot Reviver in my Avent Future Mother Must Haves kit, it really did become an absolute must have!
Every mum to be knows how much your feet start to burn and ache in the later half of pregnancy due to the extra weight you are carrying. When I reach about 7 and a half months pregnant, I could barely walk for more than 40 minutes without my feet starting to get that horrible burning feeling which would just spoil the day for me. I always felt like I was walking across hot coals rather than just walking along the street. It definately wasn't one of the joys of pregnancy! But unfortunately for me I had to suffer with them as I didn't discover this product until after I was pregnant. Typical! Though when I did discover it, it became a lifesaver after pushing around a buggy all day. After I quickly used up my little 50ml tube of the Leg & Foot Reviver once my daughter was born my husband went on a hunt for a bigger tube of it for me.
I was more than pleased when he returned with it for me. If I remember correctly, it was a 100ml tube and cost around the £6.00 mark from Superdrug. The tube was exactly the same as the 50ml (it was different from the picture DooYoo have listed for it though). The tube came in a little box giving it an expensive feel. The tube was long and white in colour with Avent written on it in the Avent logo. There was a little drawing of a mum to be cradling her baby bump and then the product name underneath. The lid was a blue flip lid for ease of getting the product out.
The Avent Future Mother Leg & Foot Reviver is made from seaweed extract which is to energise tired skin (yes, my feet fitted this criteria very well!), Aloe Vera which is supposed to reduce swollen ankles and finally Green tea to generate that cool feeling. I should imagine this product is absolutely fabulous whilst pregnant because it is amazing afterwards.
In the evenings I would lightly squeeze the tube to get a little blob of the clear, cold gel out. I would sit and gently massage it (or get my husband to do it!) into the heels and base of my feet. The green tea in the product immediately used to make my feet feel cool. They used to tingle with the coolness and it was such a nice feeling, especially when they felt like they were burning. I also used to smooth it up my legs even though my problem area was always my feet. It didn't really have much of an effect on my legs though as thy never really felt the burning sensations my feet did so there was nothing for the gel to act against if that makes sense?
The gel definately made my feet feel energised as I always felt like I could walk around again half an hour after the application. I think the cooling aspect of the green tea mixed with the seaweed to energise is a great combination as it really worked. I also found after using this for a few weeks that my feet started to feel really soft and the heels of my feet were the smoothest they had been for over 9 months!
This product definately works and if you can track it down (I'm not sure if it is still available) then I would stock up. A fab product! I would have honestly paid alot more than £6.00 for this item as it made my feet feel so much better after a long day of baby work!
With seaweed extract to energise tired skin, aloe vera to help reduce swollen ankles and green tea to cool and moisturise. Apply, put your feet up and relax
