Disadvantages: horrible to wear

These maternity pads are incredibly bulky and uncomfortable. They are extremely thick, too narrow and too long. Something you tend to notice.. after years of using wonderfully thin, highly absorbant pads each month.

Their absorbancy is dire and they feel awful to wear. At a time when you feel washed out, tired, "ugly" and unloved, this is the last thing you need. Combined with maternity pants, the plastic one, there is little difference between yourself and your newborn.

I think Boots' manufacturers have gone over the top with the need for padding in this towel and have totally disregarded the need for a new mum to feel "normal". I appreciate that this extra special flow is unlike a normal monthly occurance, but surely there's a better design than this for dealing with it.
