This bumpband was a god send to me whilst I went through my pregnancy and was suffereng throughout. Not only is this for expectant mothers who are having complications throughout their pregnany but for anyone whom is pregnant to still be able to wear your own clothes and not pay out a fortune on maternity wear.

I initially bought a bumpband in the 2nd trimester of my pregnancy as my baby was laying in a low and awkward position and I was suffering slightly from SPD, a condition where the ligaments and pelvic muscles start to contract early, and can cause aching and pain in the pelvic area. The extra weight of the baby on the stomach can make pain worse and the bump band is simply just like a boob tube for the stomach. It lifts the bump ever so slightly and is like a base for it to rest on so the weight isnt totally being carried by yourself.

The best point about this band is that you can continue to wear your own clothes as whatever top you want to put on this can go below and underneath to act as a continuation of the top and its brilliant for this, so much so that I continued to use it way after I gave birth and being so fashionable simply looks like a top that is worn underneath your outertop.

You can wear it right throughout your pregnany and beyond as its elastic stretch will allow you to grow and not restrict you in any shape or form, therefore it is perfectly safe for the baby. It goes up to sizes 20-22 therefore is made to suit women of all sizes.

Just for that extra bit of support so you dont feel the weight of the baby and your stomach is growing out of control and to much to bare especially towards the end of the pregnancy when in deed you do feel like a beeached whale this slight lift makes os much difference and can make you feel lighter than the weight dragging down onto your pelvis as the pelvis has allowance for a little bit more mobility.

For such a simple product this works and is fabulous. I bought mine from a local baby store and therefore beleive many people could get one from their locals stores also however it can easily be purchased online through bumpband.co.uk as well as online stores such as amazon for approx £12 - £15.

It is a little pricier than many would expect however when you cost up the purchases of maternity clothes throughout the pregnancy you will save a fortune with this band and therefore it is worth every penny. It can be bought in colours of only black and white however as a recommendation unless its the height of summer go for black because you wont be continually having to wash it, although its fully machne washable, so easy to care for.
