I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and bought this Bebe BT200 doppler when i was 17weeks, i was experiencing quite a bit of pain lower pelvis and back and thought this would be a good idea to put my mind at ease.

You can buy these for around £69.99 and i was happy to go onto ebay and buy it used but in great condition for £38 :) (These can also be hired i think)


It comes in a small greyish/black case, the doppler itself and a bottle of gel. It needs two AA batterys and then you are good to go!

I had spoke to many midwifes regarding this item and a few had kind of put me off as if your like me and worry and panic at everything it can sometimes cause more hassle. Finding the heartbeat isnt always easy expecially if you dont know where your baby is situated. I had started feeling flutters around the 17 week mark soo one day while my partner was at work lay down on my back, put the gel on my belly (beware its cold) & started playing about with it, within a few minutes i had started too hear a noise that i couldnt mistake for being my babys little heart beat! it was slightly faint at first which i think is to do with the way baby was lying, but i was exstatic to have heard it!

The quality of sound is amazing for such a small compact item & can be used with or without headphones & there is a volume aswell.

Overall i would give this product a very good thumbs up! it is perfect for bonding with your little baba and is great for your partner to feel a little more involved to.
