This is a review of the Just for Mums stretch mark Oil I bought from Home Bargains recently. I have been using it to combat the onset of stretch marks as my pregnancy progresses.
What is it?
This is a cylindrical bottle of stretch mark oil with a screw top cap and a little hole in the lid to squeeze the product out.
Although you can apply this oil direct to your body and I have done so, I actually prefer to add copious amounts of this to my bath when I am not planning to wash my hair. The only downside to this is that you have to give the bath a really good clean afterwards as the oily residue is gross but it is a good way of moisturising your entire body when you can't be bothered to rub it in!
What is it like?
The oil is a yellow colour and a bit thicker than a baby oil. It is still as greasy and slippy though and makes your skin feel lovely and soft. If you are precious about your bed sheets then it is probably not a good idea to apply this before you go to bed but I tend to put it on under my PJ with the thinking that the PJs will easily wash the product off when they go into the laundry.
A 100ml bottle cost just 99p from Home bargains which I think is indeed a great bargain. This bottle lasts ages even when used in the odd bath and when rubbing in to your body focusing on the tummy, a few drops does the job.
Reminds me of...
Again, with the cream from this range, the oil is very suspiciously similar to the Asda Little angels stretch mark oil. I am pretty sure it is the same company behind both products!
I think the price is good, and the product effective and a lot more cost effective than some other pregnancy oils on the market. It is worth trying to combat stretch marks although no product can give a 100% guarantee that you won't get them. If I get a few less from using this it will have been well worthwhile.
I can happily recommend this stretch mark oil but believe it is not just for mums but anyone who wants soft and supple skin.
