We bought the Summer Infant Prenatal Heart Listening System when we visited the Baby Show at Earls Court in London last year. It cost £24.99 and we were so excited to listen to the baby's heart beat, that we could not wait to get home and use it. I was thirty weeks pregnant at the time and the instructions said that we should be able to hear the hearts beat at this time in pregnancy. The kit comes with two sets of headphones and a monitor that you put on your belly. We were very disappointed with this item as we could not hear the babys heart beat at all. We could hear the baby kicking, which just sounded like little knocks, but there was definately not heart beat. I tried this monitor throughout the pregnancy and never heard the babys heart beat once. I would not recommend this product to anybody else, as it can be quite scary not to hear the heart beat and you will end up scaring yourself when really everything is okay.
