“ Brand: Blooming Marvellous / Clothing Type: Maternity Pants & Shorts „
When I was pregnant, I wanted some maternity clothes that would not only look good, but also provide me with much needed comfort for my growing tummy. I don't usually wear alot of jeans as a rule, but I thought that as my pregnancy was going through the winter months a good pair of maternity jeans would be beneficial.
I had scoured internet sites and baby stores looking for a great pair of maternity jeans but I was not impressed with the selection on offer at all. They were either nice looking jeans that didn't feel comfortable, or horrendous looking jeans that fitted wonderfully. As I was adamant that I would not sacrifice comfort or my style, I kept looking....
I finally came across Blooming Marvelous. The name of this company is totally apt as it is indeed a blooming marvelous place to shop for maternity wear. The jeans they had on offer fitted the comfort and style bill with flying colours.
I chose the dark wash stretch denim pair as I felt the dark denim could be worn both in the day and smartened up with a nice top for evenings. I also liked the width of the jeans a the bottom as they fell really nicely and were quite wide. The top part of the jeans had a stretch material panel which fitted up over the belly providing great comfort. I also loved the fact that as you got bigger, you could adjust the two side buttons which were attached to elastic on the waist of the jeans, this allowed for a bit more breathing space.
I loved these jeans throughout my second pregnancy. I wore them almost all the time. Particularly throughout the end trimester of my pregnancy. I found that these jeans offered me great comfort. I had other maternity trousers, but these jeans seemed to support my bump somewhat and made me feel as though I could move around much more freely when wearing these.
I was most impressed by the quality of these jeans and feel they were most certainly worth the £30 price tag. Despite numerous washes, they never lost their gorgeous dark denim colour. They also were very durable and always kept their shape well. This always made me feel comfortable and smart throughout my pregnancy.
The length of these jeans were just perfect for me and I am 5ft 4in. I also loved the shape of these jeans on the leg. They fell beautifully to a wide but not flared bottom. I feel this design of the jeans lent itself to being worn in the day and the evening. Allowing them to be as casual or as smart as I needed them to be.
I would certainly recommend these jeans. I do think £30 is a very good price for these. Simply because they are of an excellent quality and I certainly got my money's worth out of them. Infact these jeans have been passed around my friends for them to use during their pregnancies and are still going strong.
When I was pregnant the firstime round I knew that out of all the maternity clothes I could buy (in my dreams) a pair of jeans were a must have as at that time I lived in my jeans outside of work.
I could have brought a pair cheaply, but decided that becasue I would be wearing them a lot, and intending on trying to keep them for subsequent pregnancies, I would go for a more expensive pair and hope they lasted.
Blooming Marvelous is a compnay that sell maternity clothes and from word of mouth they provide good quality clothes.
I ordered the stretch denim jeans in a dark wash, so that if they faded in the wash at least they would still look good.
They arrived and they were a dream fit. The jersey panel at the front of the trousers fitted so comfortabley over my bump that I was in heaven. I had tried on a pair of maternity trousers that fitted under my bump in a shop but these were not my thing at all and I found the coverage and support of my bump was miles more comfortable.
The jersey panel also has adjustable elastic ties inside it so you can let it out a little more as you get bigger. If you wear a longer top over the jeans you wouldn't even know they were maternity jeans either as the fit in the leg was beautiful and simply looked like ordinary jeans.
You couldn't wear them with a short top though as the jersey panel is very unattractive but when you end up looking like a hippo anyway - comfort is your main priority and these certainly were that.
For £29.99 they were an expensive outlay for a temporary piece of clothing but well worth it for the comfort, style and looks. They never faded during my first pregnancy and just started to with my second, and the jersey panel never went baggy and always sprang back in to shape.
Well worth the buy for me and highly recommended.
