“ Brand: Airsprung / Product Type: Standard Mattress „
Our daughters beds came with the standard Argos mattress - needless to say they didn't last long!
We decided to invest in their mattress because lumpy cheap mattresses aren't good for the back especially as the child is growing and into their teens.
I researched around for the best that I could see online within the price range we had and I saw this Ripley one in argos.
It's original price for a single is £219 at the moment, but when we bought it, it was on offer at £100 plus I did the transaction through cashback website and saved even more. The double is £319 full price and £159 on offer at the moment in Argos (June 2012), the single mattress is on offer at this moment (June 2012) at £110.
The quaility of the mattress is excellent, it feels solid and looks well made, it's open coil inside. Mattress size W90, L190, D18cm. The All Seasons bit is clever, one side is made up of flock fillings with a damask panel to help keep you warm during the cold winter nights. The other side is filled with polyester, and has a soft-feel 'Coolmax' knit top panel which regulates body temperature and prevents overheating on warm summer nights. (not that we're having any at the moment in June 2012!!!) We have had this mattress since January and so had it on the winter side first and it worked - both my daughters said it was nice and then in the hot weather in March we turned it to the summer side and they both agreed that it was cooler than the other side.
In my opinion this mattress has been well worth the money, it's worth spending money on a good mattress and if you can get one in the sale that's even better quality for the same money you were going to spend I think it's worth it. The summer/winter idea is brilliant as mattresses can get quite hot and sticky.
What more can be said, an excellent mattress.
