“ Brand: Layezee / Product Type: Single Mattress „
This is the mattress that we have on the bed in the guest bedroom. We have a single bed in here which we bought from Argos. We bought the mattress at the same time also from Argos. I wanted a fairly comfortable one as although we do not get many guests staying over; the bed often gets me creeping between the sheets to escape the snoring that goes on in my own bed!
==Price and availability==
The mattress is available from Argos and costs £150.
The mattress is 21 cm deep and fits a standard single bed of 90 cm wide and 190 cm long. The mattress has a knitted cover which is thick and gives the mattress quite a luxurious finish. The overall feel of the mattress is firm, in fact it is quite firm. There are 192 coils in the mattress as well as layers of memory foam. The mattress is classed as a no turn mattress so it is easy to care for. The reason why you do not need to flip it is that the layer of foam is thicker on top of the springs than the bottom so it would alter the feel of it.
==Comfort and feel==
Firstly, when the bed is made up with the sheet and the quilt, the mattress looks great. It does not sag, it sits firm and it makes the bed the centre piece of the room. When you get into bed, the bed offers you resistance at first and feels very hard but as you lay down the memory foam absorbs the impact of your body and it softens to your shape. I like quite firm mattresses which is why I like this one. I like the combination of coil springs and memory foam; it is like the best of both. The top of the mattress has a lovely quilted feel and it actually makes the mattress look really expensive. The mattress has a woven stripe effect to it that makes it have a rippled effect.
==A good night's sleep==
The mattress is really comfortable and I rather like sleeping in this bed. I prefer my own bed obviously as it is much larger but when I need to get away from the horrendous snoring, it is a good option. I like the spring coils and the foam, as it makes the bed firm but you also get the orthopaedic benefits of memory foam. I like the way it cushions the body and takes the strain away from my lower back. The downside to coil springs is that they harbour dust mites much more than memory foam alone; but let's not talk about that as it makes me feel a bit queasy!
I would recommend this bed; if you like a good firm mattress then you will like this one and it is moderately priced for one of this thickness.
