... mattress at the same time as a bed frame and this mattress, on the underside, has grips which stop it from sliding about on the wooden bed frame. As it was a Silentnight frame that I also bought it worked well with it, as the slats on the bed frame also have these little grips. I don't know if this feature would work quite as well on another brand of bed frame, but it certainly couldn't do any harm!

Personally, although I know they are probably very good for my back and posture etc etc, I am just not keen on very firm mattresses. I need a bed that I can snuggle down into of an evening, not one that is like laying on a plank of wood. So when I was looking for a new mattress I very much liked the idea of the ones which have a quilted / padded top, as I liked the idea of sort of having a duvet on top of my mattress! I am fortunate enough to have a friend who works for the Silentnight company and therefore I did not have to pay full price for this as they were able to get me a family & friends discount.
