I honestly don't know why it is but I don't have much luck with mattresses. Our last one started to wear on my side meaning I was constantly lying on springs whilst our current one seems to have developed a noticeable dip in the half where I sleep (and I swear it's not like I'm fat or anything!?!). We couldn't afford to buy a whole new mattress so when I read about these mattress toppers, they seemed like a blooming good idea!

I have long had a memory foam pillow and have found it the height of comfort despite some people claiming that they take some getting used to, so figured that a mattress topper made of similar material was the way to go! For those who don't know, these toppers are designed to sit on top of a conventional mattress and provide extra padded comfort. Memory foam of course was designed famously for NASA for the use of astronauts in space and, in recent years, has had a big influence on the bedding market.

The first thing you notice upon opening the package this arrives in is the smell. It is not entirely pleasant but neither is it that strong that it will put you off and after a short time, giving this long enough to allow the mattress to breathe, the odour will have dropped to a more acceptable level. Essentially if this arrives at your door in the morning then if you open it straight away, the smell will have mostly dissapated by the evening!

This new mattress topper provides total comfort and now I can sleep much more easily in my bed. Different thickness levels are available but I have found that the 3" mattress is more than satisfactory. And though, it doesn't entirely sort out the dip on my side, the way this mattress molds to the warmth from my body heat makes for a much better nights sleep than before!

As with all such products, shopping around is essential as the prices for these vary depending on where you shop and there are lots of different makes and models out there. This particular mattress is certainly up there with the better available on the market and comes highly recommended from this reviewer!
