One of the biggest advantages of my new JE330 is that it is a Sony product. Sony is a name I trust and I bought the minidisc in confidence. I was not disappointed. It boasts Digital and analogue in but only analogue out, which limits the functionality when copying minidiscs etc. The remote is brilliant, offering text message like labelling of tracks. The mono recording option was also attractive, as I work in dramatics and mono is often a preferencial format. Linking it up to my hifi, I was astonished by the quality of sound produced. I think that the sony minidisk player is a very good start for recordable hifi separates. It is easy to use and has very good sound quality for a simple to use minidisk player/recorder. I would recomened it to any one who is looking for a cheapish easy to use minidisk deck.The minidisk player is very easy to use so any one could use it. If you have never heard music from a minidisk player you will be very surprised with the sound quality.the remote is very big but it is still very easy to use. ... Read the complete review

This entry level machine from Sony isn't much cop as far as a seperates system. Sound quality is decent but being the most basic model, it is ill-equipped for the price and is basically a box of fresh air - I have seen better equiped personal decks than this. It is over priced for what it is and the accessories supplied aren't much cop, either - the cheapest of cheap remote control batteries, an instruction manual for different models (which makes you feel you've bought the wrong machine as the others are so much better).
