Buy This For A Yummy Chicken Dinner!

I got this from Asda when it was my turn to cook dinner last week, my dad had said he fancied chicken and so did I so I got this and some veggies to do a roast.

It was a good job there was only me, my dad and sister for dinner because it's not very big when it's cooked and really is only the size of 2 large chicken breasts. It's still got the skin on but there is no stuffing in the chicken like I thought there would be..... there usually is a bit in joints like this so I think that was a bit tight of Asda! lol

It takes about an hour to cook and the best way is to open the door every 15 mins or so and tip some of the butter back over the chicken joint. There isn't much butter and most of it will have disappeared by the time the chicken is cooked but there's not much you can do about that apart from add a bit of extra butter yourself.

When it's cooked the chicken is delish. It's tender and moist and has got a lovely fresh flavour. I sliced it instead of just breaking the breasts off and serving it like that, it did our 3 dinners fine but there wasn't any chicken left over for sandwiches like there would have been if I'd brought a full chicken.

The skin goes nice and crispy, the bit of skin near the bottom of the joint goes a bit soggy but it's still got a nice flavour and I still ate mine! This chicken has had water added to it but you can't tell and I reckon the added water makes the meat moister anyway so I'm not complaining.

We had ours with mash, roasters and vegetables and it was delish. The skin has got a nice buttery flavour, it's only faint and I don't think you'd notice if you didn't KNOW it had been cooked in butter. Good job I knew because it made it taste even more yummy for me! lol
