“ Brand: Asda / Type: Meat „
I did a wicked stew with the leftover turkey after Xmas and enjoyed it that much that I brought a couple of these turkey drumsticks to roast and then cut up to make stew out of.
They're mega cheap and only cost £1.47 for a 700g drumstick, the skin doesn't come out as good as on a full turkey but I'm not bothered about that because I was taking the skin off for the stew but if you like eating the skin this one isn't that nice.
I roasted mine for about an hour and that cooked the turkey through perfect, the meat is nice and tender and has got a gorgeous flavour. I've had turkey breasts before and thought they was a bit boring tasting but the drumsticks are loads juicier.
I'm proper impressed with these drumsticks and it's majorly cheap compared to buying turkey steaks or a whole piece of turkey. The meat on them isn't dry and it hasn't gone stringy or anything, I actually think it's mega good quality for the price of it and the turkey went just as good in the stew as the leftovers from Xmas day.
The drumsticks are MASSIVE, I used 2 to make a stew that had 5 or 6 different sized portions and if you was using them to cook a dinner then I reckon 1 drumstick could easy do 2 people. It's not all bone either and there's loads of meat on the drumstick, I think the size of them is brill and I'm deffo going to be buying loads more of these.
