      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Value product with amazing flavours!

I love seafood and I particularly love prawns and these usually costing £2.00 a box and reduced to a pound a box I couldn't resist picking up a few boxes with high hopes that they would taste gorgeous and popping them in my freezer!

      The Packaging:

Oblong box with a photograph of the cooked prawns on the front and I am told that they are Asda, 4 Sweet Chilli King Prawn Skewers and that they contain no artificial colours or flavours, are mild in spice, that they can be BBQ'd from frozen, the best before date and the £2.00 price is clearly stamped on too and I'm told to keep them frozen. On the back of the box other information listed includes ingredients and allergy advice being given, cooking instructions are listed as is the weight of the product (which is 200g), there is a full nutritional chart given and contact details for Asda are stated too. Inside the skewers are in a clear plastic bag you simply cut open to remove the prawn skewers ready to heat/cook them.

      The King Prawn Skewers:

What you get is four thin wooden skewers with four prawns on each of a large, plump size and each one has a small tail on. The prawns are of course pink (pre-cooked) and all you do with them is BBQ, oven bake or grill them on the skewers that they come on.

I have personally grilled these in about 6 minutes and oven cooked them in the oven for about 7 minutes and personally I think oven cooking keeps these more succulent than under a grill so thats my personal preference when cooking them now.

Taste wise these are totally yummy and I'm addicted! The prawns taste juicy and like a prawn should and is slightly flavoured with paprika, chilli, black pepper, garlic and onion powder, parsley, dill and they have a slight zest of zingy lime flavouring on them too. You can see the green herbs used scattered on each one and they are really incredibly tasty and no flavour used overpowers the natural prawn flavouring they have to them.

The tails come off these with ease too if you pull the prawn into your mouth and these I simply loved on their own as a light meal but they are great with salad/rice..... anything really. I expected these for £2.00 normally a box to be tough/small/dried up things but got a plumped up fatty prawn x's 16 and I love em....and so does my flatmate!
