Birds Eye Crispy Chicken Dippers

As a general rule, I tend not to eat chicken nugget type foods, but my friends little girl loves them so whenever they come round to visit, I make sure that I have some of these Chicken dippers because I know that she loves them and would happily eat them all day. For convenience, we usually eat them with her and I have found them to be one of the better varieties, which go well with mayonnaise, ketchup or BBQ sauce.

These Chicken Dippers come in a cardboard box which is a yellowy orange colour and has the Birds Eye logo on the front, along with a picture of the dippers. There are 15 in a box which is enough for two or even three people, depending upon what you serve them with. They are found in the freezer section of most supermarkets and will cost you around £1.55 though they can often be found on special offer too. You can also buy bigger bags of these dippers if you wish, which is handy for occasions such as kids parties.

The dippers can be cooked under a grill or popped into the oven, I usually use the oven and they are ready in around 15 minutes. Be sure to check the pack for instructions as these may differ depending on the type of oven that you have.

The dippers have a crispy coating which is actually quite tasty and not nearly as bland as some chicken nuggets can be. The chicken inside is light and genuinely tastes like real chicken, unlike some brands which are a bit unidentifiable. The overall consistency is good, with the crispy outer coating providing a nice balance to the chicken inside.

Now don't get me wrong, these are never going to be as good as freshly made chicken goujons, but for what they are, they are actually quite tasty. They are simple and convenient to prepare and go well with other finger foods such as potato wedges, with some sauces to dip them into. If you are a chicken nugget fan then you are likely to enjoy these, so why not pick some up next time you are shopping!
