Very small chicken fillets in these boxes and once cooked they get even smaller. I do not think these birds got to grow to their full potential and this gives me the thought that these chicken steaks could have been a lot bigger if they had been allowed to continue to grow.

The chicken steak once cooked was OK, a bit bland and tasteless but with the addition of a sweet and sour sauce nothing that could not be remedied. I think these would be OK as part of a Chinese dish with a sauce included but on their own they were very bland and boring. Not large by any stretch of the imagination and barely made a meal for four hungry people. Needed a lot of veggies to go with it to cope.

This chicken fillet package is as it says on the box very Simple as all you need is an oven and patience to wait 30 minutes for the chicken to cook, it does have a light batter which is barely noticeable but there none the less and the flavour is non existing.

This simple fillet steak would need culinary help in my view and some serious flavouring added to make it an interesting meal.

Here are a few suggestions that may well work with it.
Barbecue sauce, with a nice jacket potato and other veggies
Sweet and sour sauce with rice and spring rolls
Lemon or orange sauce with new potatoes and veggies
Nice flavouring gravy with roast tatties and the works.

I feel something along this line is the only way to eat these particular chicken steaks as they do not inspire a young or elderly person to eat them otherwise.
Cheap and cheerful at £1 to £2 per box and simple to cook.
Not mind blowing but could have some potential. Maybe as part of a Mexican style burrito or Taco.
