      A tasty chicken dish...this is!

Being someone who likes to cook things up from scratch I do try to avoid buying pre-prepared things such as this however from time to time quickness is a priority of course so occasionally I will buy foods such as this, bung them in my freezer, particularly when they are on offer which these were when I purchased them in Asda for a mere pound a bag and I find them really handy to have on standby!

      The Packaging:

Orange and yellow plastic bag that has a photograph of a couple of the mini chargrills on the front and picture of Captain Birds Eye and I am told that they are New, 'Mini' Chicken Chargrills 'Sweet Barbecue' and that they are made with 100% chicken breast. Other information on the back of the bag includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients and allergy advice is given, a full nutritional and an at a glance nutritional chart are shown, the size is stated which in this case is 250g, the best before date is clearly displayed and cooking instructions and contact details for Birds Eye are given. It's a nice looking and informative bag though there is no resealable option to it so you have to make your own lol.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information Given On The Back Of The Packet:

Mini chicken chargrills made with marinated chopped chicken breast, seared and coated with a sweet barbecue sauce.

      The Chargrills:

Small and round and reasonably thick, open the bag, cook them from frozen in 20-25 minutes and thats them done. Simple!

When cooking/cooked these really do smell gorgeous, really sweet and of barbecue sauce and seriously tempting... if you like the thought of chicken in barbecue sauce they quite simply are!

In appearance and when cooked they are covered in a brown sauce and you can see the sears of them where they look like they've been cooked on a hot grill or griddle. Plenty of sauce is coated all over them and although mini chargrills is their name they are a bit bigger that bite-size!

Taste-wise, well in my home they got a huge thumbs up from my household. I shared my bag with my friends daughter and my flatmate and we all loved them. The chicken was moist, seasoned and tasty, juicy not soggy and simply delicious. The sauce was naturally sweet and that of barbecue with a hint of onion, garlic and tomato flavourings within it. Sticky and plentiful the sauce was of great consistency simply sticking to the chicken and it all tasty really Moorish!

These are a fabulous and tasty offering from Birds Eye. High quality with no gristle or fat on them at all, they are not greasy just tremendously tasty and really do taste and look fantastic and I will be certain to purchase these weekly from now on!
