      Delish Gammon That Might Be Expensive But It's Worth It!!!

      I had some proper crap gammon at my mate's the other day, it was Tesco Value and had hardly any flavour and was like chewing bits of rubber. It gave me the taste for gammon though so when I went to Tesco last night I got a decent gammon steak, it was only a choice of this Case & Sons gammon or a Tesco own brand one so I went for this even though it was £2.50 so loads more expensive than the rest of them in there. The first thing I saw was that this gammon actually looks like MEAT, not the madly processed shiney stuff that looks AND tastes fake when you eat it. This looks like a proper pork steak. I did mine in the griddle pan with a bit of butter and it only took about 15 mins with the flame very low, you can grill the gammon or do it in the oven as well. It smells gorgeous when it's cooking, like the best bacon EVER. You can smell the meat as it cooks through and it made my mouth water and I couldn't wait for it to be done! lol It tastes even better than it smells! This is unsmoked gammon so you can taste the meat big time and not just the smokey flavour, sometimes I like smoked gammon but this time I'm glad I went for the unsmoked one because it let the delish taste of the gammon come through. It's a bit salty tasting but gammon and bacon SHOULD be salty so you can't complain about that.... if you don't like salt then you shouldn't be eating gammon because all the good stuff is salty! There's a thicker layer of fat on this gammon than usual and even though it goes nice and brown it's still not something I'd eat, it's dead easy to cut off though and I reckon it you like meat fat you'd probably like this because it goes a bit like soggy pork crackling. I cut mine off but I deffo saw my dad nick a bit of the fat before it went in the bin! lol Recommended.... more expensive than a lot of gammon but worth it because it's brill quality and delish!!!
