      Very helpful

So so, I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it again though

Lately I have been eating a lot of heat up, convenience foods or take aways. I have the flat I live in and the flat I'm moving into and stuff between both which makes it near on impossible to cook and eat well! Add to that I have little time and I just want to eat asap before I flake out on the sofa most evenings so the other night I nipped into Asda on the way home and popped this into my basket to have for tea that night.

      The Packaging:

The burger comes in a see through carton and on the top of it the label is like a mustard colour and on the front of it we are told that it is Feasters 'Good & Ready', Specials Menu Tex-Mex Quarter Pounder 'With A Slice Of Cheese, And A Serving Of Spicy Salsa Sauce' and there is a photograph of the quarter pounder shown to. On the bottom of the carton other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients, nutritional advice and being told how to heat it up is all listed as is the weight which is 200g and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Nice, easy to peel off lid this is and the burger is prepared and all your left to do is heat it up!

      The Burger:

All you do with the entire thing is pop it in the microwave for about a minute and a half (exact timings are given according to the wattage of your microwave on the base of the carton) and thats it, its ready to eat. What you get is a large, oval bun with sesame seeds sprinkled on the top piece of the bun. Its white bread and mine was rather fresh and it was simply ok though didn't really contain all that much flavour I guess. I wasn't keen on the bread coming out of my microwave hot at all!

The burger is made from 80% beef and is well seasoned and not one bit fatty or gristly and has a slight onion taste to it and a little hint of Thyme can be detected as you eat it too. Its pleasant enough though for me but a little on the sweet side for some reason.

There is a yellow, square slice of processed cheese that melts onto the burger an into the bun which goes nice and gooey and is mild in flavour and of course to make this a Tex-Mex burger this has a generous helping of salsa sauce which is red in colour and contains tomato and tiny pieces of green peppers in it and is a little hot due to the adding of cayenne pepper to it. The sauce though is a rather smooth and plentiful, is nicely and naturally sweet and adds a gentle, optional kick to everything else.

All in all this is a decent offering from the Feasters range. I rather enjoyed the fact it wasn't too greasy, was a large helping of food and easy to cook and look nice when I was popping it on a plate to munch on. Course you could add some salad or whatever you like to this to bulk it out and make it more interesting if you want to, me I was happy with the juicy meat and salsa though as I touched on before hot bread that was hard to handle for burning my fingers didn't do alot for me at all.

Its a nice enough burger though and more often than not on offer in all good supermarkets for a pound a time (I got mine in Asda) it's an ok, convenient food!
