These Chicken And Mushroom Pies from Morrisons are the WORST I've ever eaten, to be fair I got the chilled pie that was individually wrapped but you can get Morrisons pies frozen, from the deli and in all different sizes. One of them might be a bit better than the pie I had but I doubt it because none of the pies I've ever brought from Morrisons have been any good and I don't know why I brought this one in the first place! lol It takes about 20 mins to cook in the oven but you need to watch because the pastry burns dead quick if you leave it in even for a minute too long. It's like a soft pastry case with a flakey puff pastry top, the top doesn't ... Read the complete review

Today after the gym I was starving, not in a good mood and I wanted something naughty to eat. I say naughty cos on gym days I try really hard to eat healthily so I don't feel like I undo all my hard work but I wanted pastry and when I want something that's it, I have to have it! lol. I spotted these in the refrigerator section in Morrisons but versions in store do include frozen and freshly baked ones too. These one's are 59p per individual pie or any 2 of any pies (chicken & mushroom, minced beef & onion, steak and steak & kidney) are all part of the deal! One I got was this one and usually it's my favourite flavour....notice I say usually lol, ... Read the complete review

Morrisons chicken and Mushroom pies Bought from the freezer section, not in my mind my finest buy of the week. My reasons for buying these were of course they were on offer buy one get one free. I bought One Steak and Onion and one Chicken and Mushroom, Where the Steak one was fine the Chicken one which is what I am writing about today was far from it I am afraid to say. I usually like most of Morrisons range but on the odd occasion the really do drop the ball a bit. This in my opinion was one of those occasions. Why? The Pastry was to be honest reasonably ok it wasn't the best pastry I have tasted but it was ... Read the complete review

I've only eaten Morrisons Chicken and Mushroom Pie's once - and I have to say that once was probably more than enough for one lifetime! It is fresh (as in not frozen) and takes about 20 minutes in the oven to get the pastry to be a golden brown. From appearances, the pie, once cooked looks okay.....not fabulous.....but okay. The pastry is golden brown and looks flaky as puff pastry should be. The top is latticed like many of these type of pies tends to be - and it is deep enough to look a decent size. It's a decent size for an individual portion although if you were having it for a meal you would need to bulk it up with vegetables or potatoes as it wouldn't ... Read the complete review
