Thin Strips Of Seasoned And Dried Beef

I love beef jerky and this one made by Mr BBQ is wicked because the beef flavour hasn't been messed with too much and it's not madly smoked or peppered or anything.

Beef Jerky is thin strips of beef that have been seasoned and dried. It comes in little pieces and has just enough moisture to be nice and chewy but deffo has the texture of dried meat.

The taste is yummy, it's not to everyone's taste but I think it makes a proper nice change when you're bored of all the sweet and savoury snacks you normally eat.

The jerky is lovely and chewy, the beef flavour comes through as you chew it and you can make a piece last for ages once you get over the thought of mega chewy meat in your mouth for such a long time! lol

The pieces are a bit smoky and have a salty aftertaste, they have a yummy meaty taste that lingers in your mouth for a few minutes after you've eaten a piece. I just love it and find it mad because it's the total opposite of most of the snacks I choose.

I think it's seasoned just right and the seasoning brings the meatiness out, I had a bag of Jack Links the other day and they didn't taste as good as these Mr BBQ jerky pieces.

A good thing if you like beef jerky is that a 25g bag of it only has 0.75g fat and 75 calories, that's wicked considering how long a small bag lasts for! It's quite expensive, this one is only available by me in an expensive outdoor / wine shop and costs £1.69 but for a treat evrey so often that's not a bad price.
