Well, dear oh dear" I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in my life, the sauce was lovely and tastey but there was a major problem with the fish steak, I couldn't see it, well just about, it was about two inches square and very thin, if I had held it up to the light I could of probably seen through it. How they have the audacity To call it a fish steak is beyond me. I had to order a takeaway after the disappointing feast. Come on Ross foods, you must admit that the portion size is a total and utter joke. To anyone who reads this please do not buy this product or come to think of it if this fish extravaganza is anything to go by any of their products ... Read the complete review

I had the box fish in butter sauce which resembled a sheet of chip board made of fish all patched together with different lumps and was all chewy. The slices were only 10 mm thick as well. Do not buy this crapa

I had a friend round not so long ago and we both got hungry and i couldnt be bothered that day to cook a mammoth dinner, The week before i was in asda doing my weekly shop and came across Rosses 4 fish steaks in butter sauce which was priced at £2 for four portions , Great i thought thats 4 dinners sorted on them days when i want something quick, the packaging looks quite nice with a nice sized fillet of pollock with the butter sauce poured all over it , i was quite excited about trying them at some point, So i decided to do some for me and my mate with a bit of mash and some veg. i opened the cardboard box to find 4 small portions of the fish in separate bags that ... I was deeply disappointed in these. The picture on the box suggested the pieces of fish would be much bigger than they are in reality, and that, together with some of the text on the box made me think that each bag held a single portion. For a small child, maybe, but not for an adult. It was laughable. The impression I had, when I served it, was that they'd sold me a credit card of fish. OK, that's an exaggeration, but still, I could not believe how small it was! The butter sauce was OK, but I'll not be buying these again. In fact, I doubt if I'll be any Ross product in future.

I have said in other food reviews of mine I'm not particularly fussy what I eat I'm easily pleased and enjoy large portions. Whilst shopping in Iceland I fancied something different to what I usually eat which tends to be chicken in some shape or form so I went to the fish freezers. It was here I came across Ross Fish Steaks In Butter Sauce. There were a few boxes of Ross fish products in various sauces, shapes and sizes but these caught my eye as the box was bright yellow therefore very eyecatching. I decided to give them a try seeing as they were only £2 for a box of 4 and the picture of them on the box looked pretty scrummy. Each fish ... Read the complete review
