      A great bargain from sainsburys.

I have only recently discovered a love for prawns, I was never subjected to them as a child and so spent years thinking I didn't like them, but my husband made me try them and since them we regularly eat prawns.

We always go for these as they are such great value for money, there are so many different options when it comes to prawns that it's difficult to decide what to get, but I don't really like the tiny ones and can't be bothered to take the tails off others, so these are perfect for us.

These cost £2.00 for 155g which is easily enough for two people simply just marinated and served with salad and crusty bread, but I very often add them to chillies or they are also great in enchiladas. They are so versatile and for the price they are great value for money.

As these are already cooked, you can eat they straight out of the tray, but I don't like them cold, so mainly use them for hot meals.

I would say these are medium sized prawns, you can get them in your mouth whole very easily, and when they cook they do curl up a bit, and go a tiny bit smaller. They taste quite fishy but they have a lovely texture, soft and a tiny bit chewy. I find you do have to be a bit careful that you don't overcook these as they can go very rubbery and chewy, but I just throw them into things for the last couple of minutes of cooking, and they are fine.

I would definitely recommend these. They are great for adding to meals or making a meal just out of them, great quality.
