      .

These must have changed pack since the Dooyoo picture went up, as they are now in the normal Sausage Pack, you know where the 2 Sausages are in front of each other and they are 4 Sausages along? Instead of being in a cellophane wrapper these are in a most fancy sort of greaseproof wrapping.

We picked up a couple of packs last week when the weather was nice in order to put on a BBQ. I think what drew us to buying these mostly as they were on a Buy One Get One Free offer. They cost £1.99 per pack, so perhaps that bit more expensive then other Sausages. The offer was on the whole of the £1.99 range, so we got 1 of these and 1 of another.

We only used half the pack on the BBQ, and I had some cooked in the George Forman yesterday. Both took the grease off the sausages well enough, as I think these would be quite greasy Sausages.

They are nice and thick and I cut them down the middle in order to cook them. They cooked in an ok times as well, just the usual time to cook thicker Sausages. I didn't time them or anything.

These tasted a good quality of Sausage. They were nice and Meaty and there was a bit spice to them, but not too much. There was a slight Herb flavouring as well it seemed, and the flavourings all went together well. The Salt and pepper Seasoning was a decent dash as well.

I didn't look at the nutritional information, but I know as with all Sausages that these are quite high in fat and calories. I didn't want to depress myself with these facts.

Yes, these are more expensive and you can probably get nice enough tasting Sausages without spending all this money on them, but given the offer then I would say they were certainly worth a buy. They do taste like they have been made with good ingredients and sometimes it is worth it to spend that bit more on this kind of thing.

      Recommended by me.

I Can't Believe How Many Yummy Packets Of These Sausages We've Put In The Bin!

My mum's mad, she buys sausages every week even though we hardly ever eat them and I reckon she throws away more full and unopened packs than we eat. My dad's a bit dense when it comes to how much stuff costs but 2 days ago he noticed how expensive the sausages my mum buys are because she usually goes for the Taste The Difference or Finest ones unless she's buying Richmond. He went ballistic when he saw 2 packs of Pork Cumberland sausages were going to be going off the next day and more because they cost £2.59 for 6 sausages!

To stop WW3 going off I offered to cook them and eventually did a sausage casserole with the sausages using a packet mix. The sausages are dead chunky and do look plumper and fresher than sausages like Walls or Richmond, they're not majorly pink like a lot of the Sainsburys sausages and have got a good amount of herbs that you can see through the sausage skin.

I browned them under the grill before I put them into the casserole sauce to finish off and they looked like they were browning evenly, I reckon having these on a butty would be nice because the smell coming off the sausages as they cooked was wicked!

In the casserole they were yummy. I could taste the spiciness of the sausage through the sauce and I loved how meaty and fat the sausages stayed even when they had been cooked under the grill and in the sauce, they stayed nice and firm and the skins didn't all shrivel up on them when they were cooking in the casserole mix in the oven. I thought they were delish and I've had loads of sausages casseroles but I think the way these sausages cooked was wicked because they didn't lose their flavour and were madly tasty.

I had kept 2 back when I put the rest into the sausage casserole because I was going to have them cold in a pasta salad the next day but in the finish I munched them while the casserole was cooking. They are delish even straight from the grill with nothing on them because the sausages are so meaty and I could taste the pork in them, the herbs are quite strong as well especially the sage and I also think the sausages have a nice pepery aftertaste that is just right for a cumberland sausage.

I'm not mad keen on sausage but when I have a good one like this then it makes me crave them for a bit and I reckon I'll be buying another pack of Taste The Difference sausages soon!
