 ... similiar in texture to a fish paste, this is that bit more creamy, but still thick. It has a lovely flavour of the smoked mackerel, but not too strong as it is mixed with full fat soft cheese and double cream. I know it sounds odd, but the two together go really well. The jar is enough for two sandwiches as you do have to have it thick and when eaten on a really fresh slice of wholemeal it is wonderful. You can have this on crumpets, toast, bagels, muffins ect.... I was only going to write two reviews today, but when I saw that a suggestion that I had put forward had been passed and I have been wanting to write about this one and the other ones that are in this range as they are so lovely. I was looking for something different to put into Hubbys packed lunch sandwiches,as he is fussy with certain meats, doesn't like salad in his sandwiches or pickles ect... it can get a bit boring making them, let alone eating them. So when I spotted these little gems on the shelf down the spreads aisle they got me intrigued into what they were!.
