“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Meat „
We had these burgers at my aunts house a couple of weeks ago, the box was a bit different from the photo Dooyoo have got up but the name of the burgers was the same. You only get 2 in a box and my aunt said they cost about £1.99 so they're not majorly cheap burgers, but they've got a proper nice flavour and are worth the money I reckon.
They are about the size of a quarter pounder, a bit smaller I think but there isn't much in it. She cooked them under the grill but it said on the box that they can be oven cooked, fried (yeeeuuuuccccchhhhh!!!!) or done on the bbq.
The flavour is nice, the burgers have got a strong beef flavour and taste big time meaty...... loads better than I thought they would be actually being as these are just own brand beef burgers! lol They cook nice and don't dry up or shrink or anything like that, the burgers look like they have plumped out while they was cooking instead of shrivelling up and that's brill news because the last burgers I ate was Birds Eye and they ended up about the size of a 2p piece by the time they was cooked! lol
These aren't just BEEF burgers though, the onion in them is red onion and they have got a faint taste of mustard. The onion is in small pieces in the burger and it stays a bit crunchy while the burgers are cooking, not bad but I did wish it had gone a bit softer while I was eating it. The onion is nice though and I like it that the red onion is a bit sweeter tasting than plain white onions.
The mustard taste is mega faint and I was a bit surprised about that because wholegrain mustard is usually quite strong but this isn't, it was fine for me because I only had cheese on the burger in a bun but my aunt had sauce on her burger and said that she couldn't hardly taste the mustard at all after she'd added it.
Recommended..... the mustard flavour isn't all that but at least the burgers don't shrivel up!!!
