      Expensive For Such Rubbish Meat!

      We only got this Chicken Breast Joint because the people who pack the orders at Tesco are stupid! lol My mum had ordered 2 packs of frozen chicken breasts and they sent 2 of these instead..... not as a substitution but because they obviously can't read the orders! We ended up with the best deal though because they credited my mum for the chicken breasts and told her to keep these for free as a goodwill thing.

      It's a good job as well because the joint wasn't the business and it cost £5.00 which I think is expensive for what it is. It says on the box that it will serve 5, that's good because there are 5 of us in our house and most things like this only serve 4 so we end up with small portions. When it was cooked though I don't think it would serve 5 adults because it just about done us and that included a 10 year old who doesn't eat much chicken and a 2 year old who doesn't eat much of anything! lol

      There is no bone in the joint and it takes about 1 1/2 hours to cook, you cook it in the foil tray that it comes in so you don't have to get your roasting tin dirty.

      It is cooked when the juices run clear and by that time the skin should have gone nice and brown. The skin never actually goes crispy on this joint but is still the best thing about it! lol I thought the meat was mega dry and it hasn't got much flavour, the skin has got a nice buttery taste and that soaks into the chicken a bit but not much and by the time you've eaten the layer closest to the skin you're just left with dry chicken that is a bit stringy.

      The chicken doesn't taste very fresh and I don't think it would be very nice cold, we had ours on a dinner so the gravy gave it a bit of moisture but it was still very dry and chewy.

      For the price I think this joint is a bit of a rip off, another thing is that the 2 ends go a bit hard while it's cooking and I can't think of a way of stopping that so that was a good bit of chickend wasted.

      Not recommended.... for a fiver this should be loads better!!!
