      Very helpful

      Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!

I fancied a sausage roll big time the other day so got a pack of these Finest ones from Tesco, they are quite dear and cost £1.50 for 2 sausage rolls. Each sausage roll is 100g and that's about in the middle between a snack sized sausage roll and a big one.

They take about 15 mins to warm up in the oven and the pastry looks lovely and flakey when they come out of the oven. Dooyoo have called them Pork And Pickle Sausage Rolls but they're actually Pork And CHUTNEY Sausage Rolls, you can see it says that in the photo and it's not Dooyoo's fault because this is what they've called them on their website.

You can smell the sausage meat while it's cooking and it's got a gorgeous meaty smell. When they're done the pastry crumbles all over the place when you cut into it, the meat looks nice and brown and isn't that disgusting grey stuff you get in a lot of sausage rolls. The pastry is golden brown and has gone shiney while it's cooking, they look proper good quality to me and I couldn't wait to tuck into it! lol

The taste is wicked, these are proper nice tasting sausage rolls. You can taste the meatiness of them and there's also a yummy pickled flavour, it's a bit fruity and sweet but has also got a bit of an onion taste as well. It makes the sausage meat taste mega rich and it's got a nice firm texture as well so is wicked to eat because of the nice chewy texture. You can't actually taste any bits of chutney in the sausage meat but the whole thing has got a loads more interesting flavour than plain sausage meat.

I LOVE the pastry on these sausage rolls but there's a bit too much of it on them! There's loads of sausage meat in each one so it's not like they're trying to bulk them out but there's so much pastry on them that I had to take some off because it started tasting too sickly. It's lovely and buttery tasting and has puffed up wicked while it's cooking, I love the bottom piece of pastry because it's soaked up all the yummy sausage meat juices! Delish!

Recommended... a dear way of buying sausage rolls but delish for a treat and if you keep your eyes open you'll see them for 75p in the reduced fridge!!!
