I discovered these sausages about two years ago and haven't looked back since. Until I spotted these in the cold meats section of the supermarket we'd been using the normal dried chorizo in cooking (for example in paella, italian stews, etc) but the dried chorizo goes quite hard when you add it to some dishes and cook it again. It adds flavour but no one wants to have chewy, hard lumps in their paella. Chorizo is one of those food items that seems to be enjoying increased popularity if menus in restaurants, celebrity chef recipes and even crisp flavours are anything to go by.
