      Delish For On The BBQ

We've had the bbq out a few times since the weather got nice and one of the best bargains I've found is these Lamb And Beef Skewers from Tesco. They're frozen and are kept in the freezer with the rest of the bbq food, you get 10 for £1.00 and even though they're quite small I think that's still a wicked price because it doesn't break the bank to buy 2 boxes and they taste yummy.

They take about 15 mins on the bbq and the only bad thing about the skewers is that you have to turn them a million times while they're cooking to stop the edges burning!

LOADS of fat comes out of them, that doesn't matter much on the bbq but you can cook these in the oven as well and I wouldn't fancy them after they'd been sitting in fat. They have got a greasy taste as well but it's one of them things that is greasy in a GOOD way, like eating a good quality burger.

They are mega meaty tasting, the main flavour is deffo the beef but you can still taste the lamb in them. The meat is like meatball meat and has been shaped round the stick, that means it's never going to taste like madly brill quality but it's still proper tasty. There are some spices mixed in with the meat and also a kind of minty taste, that's probably been put in to bring the flavour of the lamb out a bit better and it does but I wish the mint taste was more noticable so that they would taste like the yummy minted lamb burgers that my mum buys from the butchers.

THey have got a bit of a chewy texture, actually the taste of them is kind of like

These skewers are majorly moorish, I put 2 on each of our plates when we had our last bbq and we all wanted more of them even though we had chicken and burgers and everything else. On the box it shows a plate with salad and 3 of the skewers but I reckon even that wouldn't be quite enough because they taste so yummy.

Recommended.... a quid a box and delish!!!
