“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Fish „
Tesco Salmon snack is basically like sushi, except it includes no raw fish - only smoked salmon. The pack includes 5 rice parcels containing things. Three of them are quite small - two contain cucumber and one contains salmon. These are wrapped in seaweed. Then there are two larger ones containing cucumber, pepper and salmon (these are coated in sesame seeds). Some of them have flavours like mayonnaise and wasabi (like horseradish).
The snack comes in a black plastic tray with clear plastic lid which is about 10cm by 7cm - good size for lunchboxes or handbags! The tray is really easy to eat out of. It also comes with a little container of soy sauce to add to the snack. However, I prefer not to use the soy. From Tesco, the salmon snack costs £1.
Nutritional values: The snack weighs 103g and has
salt: 1.1g (including soy)
The name suggests the food is a snack, or a part of lunch. However, I found it fine on its own for a lunch when I was on a diet. From the day you buy it, it will probably last about 2 days, so you can't really buy much in advance. In a Tesco store, it is found with takeaway sandwiches and salads.
Overall, the taste was really nice. The red pepper adds a sort of sweetness, and the rice is filling and tasty. I found the soy sauce unnecessary and made it much too salty.
Highly recommended for dieting as it fills you up without many calories.
