      Nice!

I rather often do my top up shopping in my local Tesco Express. The other night I spotted this reduced from its usual retail price of £2.00 to just 20p (it was late!) and I bought it with a bag of prepared salad so that I could have it in a sandwich that night as I was starving and really fancied it!

      The Packaging:

This comes in a black plastic tray and has a mainly see through cover to the top of it and on the label we are simply told what it is and who it is by, the ingredients and allergy advice is given, nutritional information is listed, the best before date is clearly stated as is the weight (240g) and contact details for the manufacturer are clearly given. The only issue I had with this packaging is that I couldn't reseal it however I did end up sitting and munching through the lot though you can keep this in the fridge for two days safely once opened and it is suitable for home freezing for up to a month too should you want to.

      The Chicken Tikka:

This is already cooked and ready to eat and made of chicken breast. The pieces are chunky and a nice creamish colour with the edges being gently sprinkled with orange coloured spices which are cumin, garlic, ginger, turmeric and a small amount of chilli (along with a few other ingredients of course too!).

This tastes really rather great. The chicken is superb quality and although it has spices on it you really can taste the moist chicken and the spices are not hot on this but very well blended and to me tastes like a blend of tikka masala. The spices cling well to the chicken so its not messy to eat too.

You could have this with a salad, in a jacket potato, add it with other things to make a meal, really that's entirely up to you. For me this made me a delicious sandwich and even if I'd of paid £2.00 for the pack I wouldn't have minded one bit because it tastes and looks nice and you get plenty of it for that money.

With only 75 Calories per 1/4 of a pack and 0.4g of Saturated Fat it isn't bad for you either and its nice and filling with oodles of taste!

Only available from the chilled section in Tesco stores.

Delish Chicken That Is Ready Cooked With A Gorgeous Flavour

In Tesco they do quite a few of these ready cooked chicken pieces, the different ranges are all brill and even the Tesco Value one is pretty nice when you use it with a sauce or something because it's a bit bland on its own.

Out of all the flavoured ones I've tried this pack of Tikka Chunky Chicken Pieces is the best because it actually tastes just like tikka chicken and is proper versatile.

You get 200g of chicken and that costs about £2.45, that is a bit expensive for what it is but the taste is yummy and if you've got a pack of this in the fridge you'll always have a quick meal there because it's quite versatile.

The chicken is cut mega thick and it's just the outside edges that has got the tikka flavouring on it, the tikka isn't majorly strong but it's got a yummy spicey flavour that means whatever you have this chicken with will automaticaly get a delish curry taste to it.

The chicken pieces are lovely and tender, they don't exactly melt in your mouth but don't take a lot of chewing either. Sometimes when you buy stuff like this you'll find that it's got a bit of a tough texture that isn't very nice but these are perfect I think and actually even nicer than the wicked chicken my mum cooks herself! lol

You can have this chicken with anything you would have plain chicken in. I made a mega quick curry the other day using these in a mild balti sauce that I brought from Asda, the whole thing took about 10 mins to make and would have been less than that but I couldn't hurry the rice up any more!!! I've had them in pitta bread, on a bagel, mixed in with pasta with a mustard dressing and loads of other ways.... I've been buying this chicken regular for about a year now and as long as Tesco sell it I'll never stop.

This pack has probably got about 3 servings in it if you're using it for butties or to mix in with pasta, if you're having the chicken on it's own with a bit of salad then you'll probably need half the pack but it's sooooo gorgeous that you won't mind using it all up and then replacing the pack!

Recommended... delish and saves you having to cook your own chicken up!!!!
