Yes, once again I am reviewing a Tesco Value range product! I am a bit of an addict of these no frills products. Who wants to spend money on posh packaging and then chuck it straight in the bin? I know that I certainly don't!

As with all Tesco Value products, this one comes in white packaging with red and blue. The pack is clear plastic so you get to see the corned beef inside.

I have just read a great review on this (have a look!) which explains that the reviewer likes clear packaging for something like corned beef, because it means that they can't hide dodgy looking meat inside. I totally agree with this, and appreciate being able to see the meat before I buy it. In this case, the corned beef looks really good, not fatty and very moist. The slices are quite thick and it looks really appetising.

At just £0.97 for a 250g packet which contains 8 slices, it is significantly cheaper than other brands.

The corned beef is actually really good. It has a delicious and slightly salty taste that is unique to corned beef and is perfectly moist and tasty. The texture is good too and I was pleased to see that it wasn't oily or dry.

I like to eat it with Branston smooth pickle in either a sandwich or a toasted sandwich and also to make a corned beef and potato pie with it and found that this brand was great for each option.

If you are a fan of corned beef then I really recommend that you try this brand. I wasn't sure whether or not it would be any good, but was pleasantly surprised and will definitely buy this again. This product is another excellent example of saving money without compromising on quality and well worth buying!
