Advantages: Good flavour cheap
Disadvantages: I dont think there are any
I decided to try the tesco value corned beef for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I was very pleasantly surprised, corned beef in general is quite high in fat and being a processed meat is quite salty, this value one is actually less fatty and salty than many more expensive brands.
You get 7 slices in a 230g pack and the price in my local Tesco was £1.39, the slices are quite thin but are fine for a sandwich.
The appearance of the meat is good there is not as much of the white fat on them as you sometimes see with corned beef.
It can be a little hard to seperate the slices I have found it easiest to run a palette knife between them otherwise they can break up a bit.
They taste very good, not too salty and not greasy, the meat is soft and there have been no gristley bits that you can get with processed meats.
I am a fan of this corned beef and will be buying it again instead of the more expensive brand.
Overall well worth trying you me by surprised.
Summary: You have nothing to lose by giving it a try you may like it
