Walls Micro Sausages

I have to admit that I would probably never have bought these sausages as I am a little bit of a sausage snob and like them to be as good as possible. Mr Siamese has no such qualms and recently arrived home from the shop clutching a box of these and marveling at the fact that sausages could be cooked in the microwave. Now for me, the idea just doesn't work, sausages should be grilled until deliciously brown not popped into the microwave, it just doesn't sound right!

A 275g box of these sausages costs around £2.10 in supermarkets and can be found in the chilled section in supermarkets. The cardboard box is a bright blue colour with the Walls logo on the front and a picture of some tasty looking sausages.

The sausages are packaged in pairs which is handy if you only want to eat a couple at a time. They look a little pale and insipid before cooking but a couple of minutes in the microwave transforms them into plump and brown sausages which look a lot more appetising than I had expected.

If I am being honest, these are not the best sausages that I have ever tasted. They are okay though, didn't have any nasty bits and were well seasoned - and that is surprising as I had assumed they would be horrible! They make a tasty enough sausage sandwich in minutes and although I would prefer to have ones from the butcher, cooked under the grill, if I was in a hurry, I wouldn't turn my nose up at these!
