	WH Smith ... must confess that although I now have no professional affiliation with WH Smith, I was once a Saturday girl in the Lewisham branch, in my teenage years, back in the mid-1990s. I worked firstly on the kid s books section and then moved onto the holy grail - the records and video section! In my grown up life I m a retail town planner (although not for WH Smith), so I do have some sort of insight into how national and international retailers operate and I don t understand how the shop works now. 	WH Smith ... Smith is a high chain of stores selling books, newspapers, magazines,CDs, DVDs, greetings cards, stationery, some time computer accessories and games too. The layout of a typical WH Smith can actually be a bit misleading, since the material for sale is actually quite well laid out and I always find that they have more on offer than I though. The main reason for me to visit a WH Smith is normally to buy newspapers, and to browse. Although they have clear signs asking people not to browse, I am a bit naughty and I do like to browse both the daily newspapers and the magazines. Their choice of magazines is quite impressive. 	WH Smith ... is a retail store in the high street which has been going for many years now. For me they are more famous due to their books and magazines rather than the music and movies they sell. They are a retail store which sells games, music, stationery, books, computer games and much more. They seem to have a wide variety of magazines and if you ever struggle to find one you might be after your more likely to find it there than anywhere else. They also have a good selection of stationery but recently I have found their prices perhaps higher than other retail stores.
