This is probably the only bookshop which lets you sit and read books in comfy armchairs while sipping coffee purchased from the indoor coffeeshop. Most bookshops do not allow in-store reading as they are afraid that customers will mess up their books and/or just sit and read them, using the shop as a library facility, and never actually buy anything. However, the relaxed attitude had the opposite effect on me - I found that, having been able to browse more extensively than usual, I was more informed and actually made more purchases than usual.
