Advantages: price
Disadvantages: choice
HMV V Zavvi. that has always been a problem for me. I did used to like shopping in HMV but think it is way to expensive for what it is. I do watch and buy alot of DVD's and CD's so a whole store dedicated to this is amazing. I find that i do not use hmv for new releases as its cheaper to nip to tesco and pay half the price.
I will admit however it is handy for there selection. I collect disney DVD's and if i want good choice i will go there especialy if there is a title i want thats hard to find. (i only do this when theres a buy one get one free on) I also like the five for thirty deals that they do before christmas and this is a handy way of getting a few people a girft on a bugget, that is of course so long as you can find five DVDs that you want.
Zavvi on the other hand i was gutted about when it went into admin becuase that place had amazing sales. although i would not rate there choice as good some of the stores had a far crack at it. I have often gone in and spent seventy quid with out realising it but got a bag full for it also.
I also noticed that zavvi would offer things such as the soft toys with the dvd's which if your like me, thats another presnt sorted thank you very much zavii. So for overall price zavvi wins, for choice however it needs to be HMV. So if i wanted a dvd and i had to choose itwould definatly have to be zavvi, and if they didnt have it im sure there would be something i could grabv.
Summary: zavii all the way
