Music Shops in Chester

Chester has a few shops for those with musical interests. On the main street you have Zavvi (the old Virgin Megastore) and just a couple of doors down you have HMV. Both of these stock the obvious items and cater for most people but seem to have shifted their focus away from music and towards DVD's, moving most of their music stock upstairs. If your looking for something reasonably mainstream then these 2 stores should see you through. For more obscure and hard to find items head little out of town and go into Grey and Pink on Brook Street. There are a few music shops in Chester. Virgin megastores is on the main highstreet which is fairly cheap and has a lot of choice and the chester store is big and on two levels so the choice is fairly large. Also on the main street is HMV< this is much the same as virgin, infact i don't really know why they have both, but they do....and i suppose you can compare prices and get the best deal... Woolworths which is fairly new is also on the main street and this seels a variety of cds, but not a great choice and i wouldn't really call it a music store, but it does sell cds...
