Newest Review: ... have been caught out before when you order a book thinking it's going to be War and Peace length, and when it arrives it's like a magazine! PRICES ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ All the books are offered at a discounted price and the company claim they've been hand selected to offer quality and value and I have to say I agree. There are always well known classics that are a must for every childs library along with newer authours and more unusual titles, truly something for everyone. The prices are always reasonable but my last order was placed during the summer sale and I brought 3 books for £6 and 2 lots of collections f... more

As you may have gathered from previous reviews, I love books! I wanted to pass this love on to my daughter and so am always picking up books for her, either from the local charity shops or supermarkets but one of my favourite ways is ordering through Redhouse. WHO ARE THEY? ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Redhouse is a mail order bookshop that specialises in childrens books for babies right up to young adults. It was established in 1979 and has grown not only in what it has to offer but also in popularity since then. I think I first found out about them through a leaflet in a Bounty pack (the pack you get from the hospital when ...  Read the complete review

As a child, I used to read constantly. Every time we went out, I'd have a book in my bumbag (what do you expect, I was born in the 80s!). When we stayed over at my grandparents' house, I was allowed to sit in bed reading until Grandma came up and turned the light out - she often fell asleep on the sofa and found me still reading under the lamp in the early hours. As my younger siblings grew up, I was a little bit sad to find the good old books that I was raised on had gone out of fashion, and my baby sister wasn't the least bit interested in my treasured Peter and Jane or Famous Five books (a boy called Dick? Hahahaha!). When I decided to start a family of my ...  Read the complete review

Like the other reviewers say, Redhouse Books must be one of the top book clubs for children's books. The book prices are fantastic...much cheaper than the high street and Amazon. They also have some great box sets and sale bargains, which are great for presents. The P+P is reasonable (often free if you spend over a certain amount or buy several books) and delivery is reasonably fast. Standard delivery takes about 5-7 days in my ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review i love red house... (103 words)

having been a member of various book clubs, in my opinion red house is one of the best. there is no commitment - you buy however many books you want, whenever you want. the books really are cheap - unlike some clubs where you get your introductory books quite cheap, but the rest are much the same price as in the shops. there's also a good selection of interesting books you don't have to return a slip EVERY month just to say no to the book they want to send you. also the service is very good ...  Read the complete review

A mail order book company, with a reputable name and highly regarded in school and literary circles. Offering discounted books, audio books, games and activities via catalogue. Guaranteed not to have a hard sell attitude, there are no additional commitments for further purchases. Affiliated with the Scholastic Group this company was founded just over 20 years ago by David Teale, and has encouraged many thousands of children and adults to become proficient and more importantly to enjoy reading, and to develop a love for books.
