Advantages: You are under no obligation to buy!
Disadvantages: £2.50 P&P
I have been a member of this book club for over 5 years, by my recknoning, and basically, I have tried the rest and this is THE best! As other dooyooer's state, you are under absolutely no obligation to buy any of their books ever again, you simply get sent a book catalogue each month - if you don't want anything, then file it away in Box 13. (ie. the bin). In my case, hardly a month goes by when I don't order anything as the selections are usually very good, with very high quality books at low prices. The main advantages of this book club are: 1. You are under no obligation to buy anything. (did I say that already!?) 2. You can order by post, phone or internet and pay by any method you choose. 3. The range of books usually includes books which have cuddly toys with them, my Lucy has the cuddly Maisy, Elmer and Tiger (from "I don't want to...series)", thanks to Red House. Currently, if you spend £15 or more, you get a "Book Buddy", which is a daft plastic model of a book dressed in something silly. If this is your cup of tea, great, but personally you're better off with the toys that come free in Sugar Puffs. Also currently, on their Internet site there is a plethora of special offers, with very cheap books which are their "end of line" stock. Many retail at 99p or even less! The only disadvantage is that Post and Packing is £2.50, unless you spend some extortionate amount. "Old" members like me recall the glory days when this was free! (and so it should be, nag, nag!)
