      Worth a look

If you are around the soho area in London, then be sure to visit Rose Morris. They have 2 shops next to each other, one of them selling guitars and drums and all associated bits and pieces. The other shop sells sheet music for vocals, strings, guitars and other instruments. Its one of those shops that I could spend ages in looking at different music, although their flute section isnt really that great.

I like this particular shop for sheet music because the staff are very friendly, know what they are talking about, and are musicians themselves. I havent ever needed to buy a guitar but I did pop into the other shop to see if they would display my business card for flute teaching, and ended up talking to the guy for ages about teaching and he recommended me by word of mouth although he couldnt display the card.

Sheet music ranges in price from a few pounds for one song, to a book of songs like an Amy Winehouse album for around £14. I always ask for a teachers discount but dont always get it depending on who is on the till.

The shop is quite small, and if you want more choice its better to go online as they have more stock on there, or to visit Chappels which has a great section for piano and vocals.
