As a music mad teen I used to see students all over Nottingham with SELECTADISC bags so one day I decided to try my luck and see if I could pick up a bargain. There are 2 seperate shops on Market Street, one for the vinyl side of things and one for the more CD side. The vinyl shop has all the latest releases on vinyl for excellent prices (99p for a newly released 7"). They also have a large collection of older releases also at very good prices. The CD shop has 3 separate sections. There's one almost entirely separate section for dance music, but that's not to my liking so I can't go into great detail. The upstairs of the second section is for previously unowned CDs of the pop/rock/metal genres at excellent prices (I got the Smashing Pumpkins "Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness" double CD for just £7.99 brand new! ) Downstairs they sell second-hand albums and singles and also have a bargain bit where I've found excellent singles for just 75p! SELECTADISC is always a must visit when I go shopping, the atmosphere's great although it can get quite crowded on saturdays, and the staff are always helpful and know what they're talking about.
