Im a bit both ways on this one (WH Smith)

Advantages: really nice stock, can usually find what you want, do have some offers

Disadvantages: some stock is expensive, staff arent friendly and too busy talking among themselves

Were located in Leeds and have 2 Whsmiths stores within our reach. I have mixed opinions of it really. Whsmiths is a really well known shop and one that most people know, they sell books, stationery, magazines, and lots of arts and crafts things.

Im a great lover of arts and crafts and often pick up some really nice embelishments etc, i dont think their prices are always reasonable i have found some items quite expensive. They have a wide range of books and often do deals on these so you can get them a little cheaper. They do some great arts and crafts activities especially for children and great to keep them occupied in the school holidays etc. I would rate whsmiths in terms of the above as they do sell some really nice quality items.

However the staff ive seen in both of these stores never seem to be bothered to help. I mean both are quite a large store so as you can imagine its often hard to find what your looking for but they never help you look just sometimes point you in the right direction. They also are never willing to look in their store room to see if they have what your looking for and are always too busy talking to each other rather than their customers.

So very mixed feelings but you can be guaranteed to get what you want!

Summary: its not a bad shop you can usually get what your looking for but its not the best service!
