Advantages: Stocks everything for the office
Disadvantages: Quite expensive in parts
WHSmith is a stationary shop located over the UK selling, well almost everything handy.
To begin with, it's normally best known for as I said above, its stationary, selling pens, paper, books, everything for the pencil case, maths equiptment and much more. They also sell magazines and revision guides ie for subjects (normally the maths and sciences) from early school to A levels which is real handy as I havn't seen these anywhere else.
Things unrelated to the office world which they sell include DVDS, videogames, PC games, bluerays, handheld games, chocolate and select sweets. So it's quite a nifty little store. But is it any good?
WHSmith on the whole is great, things are well organised and staff are friendly. There are just a couple of negativities. Mainly relating to the price.
I find it to be quite expensive, especially in the stationary sector. Some items i believe are way too over priced, these normally being pens or correction fluid. Again quite a few of their DVDS and videogames are slightly pricey and could be found for a better price else where.
But not to put it down too much. It's a handy store and will most likely stock what you're looking for. They have some good deals on chocolate as well as other things around the shop and sell many books from all sorts of genres.
Overall a good store.
Summary: Good for stationary
