Advantages: Sometimes things are a decent price, good shop layout

Disadvantages: Prices can be a little too dear

WHSmith is a shop that sells a range of things from books and stationary to DVDs and CDs. WHSmith do sell most things so you are bound to find the thing you are after within reason. The shop itself is set out quite well, the one near me has an upstairs section where they have all the DVDs and Pc games e.t.c.

I usually go hear now and again (mainly when I have vouchers) to get a DVD or boxset, you do sometimes find that they have very few copies of some DVDs which means they will sell out quite quickly.

One of the problems I have with WHSmith is the prices in store are incredibly high compared to places like HMV. I go online and see ok prices that im ok to pay but when you get in store they are pounds dearer than online and are sometimes a bit ridiculous, I have to shop instore whenever I get any vouchers but with this it means my vouchers don`t go very far. Sometimes things are reasonable like I got a Jane Eyre boxset for a tenner which I thought was pretty good, their prices really vary.

I would suggest shopping around before buying from WHSmith and see if you can get a better deal elsewhere.

Summary: WHSmith is an ok shop but I say shop around
